Just watched "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" with Jinya & my son.

It's just as funny, silly, and wholesome as I remembered. Better yet, it didn't have ANY of the low, cheap jabs that a lot of '80s comedy had! No weight jokes, no homophobic slurs; just a goofball trying to find his bike, making friends (and unintentionally upsetting some folks) on the way.

For a movie made in 1985, that's damned near miraculous. We got to simply laugh and enjoy.

The closest thing to offensive is Jan Hooks' oh-so-white tour guide at the Alamo trying to talk about Native cultures 😅
