Hey, will you suggest a fun movie I can watch? (I have Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, a mid-level tier of Hulu, and Popcorn Time; I can likely find it.)

I need a pick-me-up. Recent preferred, but you can stick one or two classics in there if needs must.

@thraeryn am i the only one who is probably just not gonna be able to watch the rest of the season if it becomes available. ugh.

I hope they cancel the show. The audience has proven they can't handle watching Humans Doing Things.

I'll miss the concept, and I can't forgive this.

re: terrace house

@thraeryn Same. My husband and I were thinking the same thing.

@thraeryn any particular genre you like/ absolutely dont want?

I really dislike horror. The "splashier" it is, the more fun it is for some people; I am not one of those people.

I'm not a huge fan of CGI musicals, as they're largely excuses to show off how many songs a company owns film rights to.

A lot of other stuff is fine, but I'm aiming for light-hearted, maybe quippy.

@thraeryn The House With a Clock In Its Walls was a fun adventure movie, as was Disney's Tomorrowland (which does take on some heavy subject matter about being complacent with the commodification of our apocalypse but its got a happy ending), Smallfoot (its about Yetis discovering humans), To All The Boys I've Loved Before (a sappy, goofy teenage romcom), Crazy Rich Asians. hopefully one of those is helpful?

@thraeryn if CGI jukebox musical adventure/romantic comedy with fairies and goblins sounds interesting: Strange Magic

I heard it's on Disney+

@thraeryn i don't think i've seen many recent movies, but if all else fails, go with a classic jackie chan flick. those are always a good time.

I think I'll give "Rush Hour" a shot. I usually enjoy watching Chris Tucker act a fool. 👍🏼

@thraeryn I just recently watched Monthly Python and the Holy Grail and thought it was really funny!
